“Logging on…” Message when opening Word and MultiTerm 7.1 Template is added
We are seeing this message a lot nowadays. Mostly in Corporate environments where User Rights are less.
This error can be resolved by granting Rights to the “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\TRADOS\MultiTerm\Termbases” folder. This is where the MTMaster.mdb and all the Termbases are stored since MT 7.
As a Freelancer you will probably not encounter this message

Hi
I would like to ask if you ever met with this problem, when importing isc-files back into InDesign CS.
“Importing MA0206_E_ITALY_Lise.indd…
Error: The following Windows error occured during
the function “File::Open()” :
Filen eksisterer. [Means File exists in Danish]
1 story has been imported.”
We work with InDesign CS and Trados 7.0 on a Windows Xp Professional PC.
We cannot even reimport a isc-file, that has just been exported from InDesign CS via the “menuitemexportkey”. Very weird.
Hope you might have an answer – and thank you very much in beforehand if you do.
Best regards

Mmm, I think it would be interesting if TRADOS could publish a list of the folders in the C:\program files\trados folder where the user should have write access. I don’t think it is documented, is it? There some articles in the KB but they do not cover all of those folders, do they?
In most corporate environments access to the C: drive is restricted and it is frustrating that TRADOS does not document this in the help files or in the manuals.

I have this problem in Trados 7 (Freelance) and MultiTerm 7.0. So this does not help. In any case the advice is disappointingly short and lacking in detail.
This Trados SDL blog looked like a very promising development. I check it almost every day, and it could be a real asset to happy and satisfied Trados users like myself, but so far it has just been disappointing.
